What to Expect Your First Week at a Lagree Studio in Cary, NC
You've seen the videos. Maybe a friend won't stop talking about it. Maybe you've driven past us at Park West Village and wondered what actually goes on inside. Whatever brought you here, you're curious about Lagree and you have questions.
Good. That means you're exactly the kind of person who belongs here.
Here's the honest, no-fluff guide to what your first week at Elite Core Studios actually looks like.
Before You Walk In
You'll book your first class online through our schedule. When you sign up for our 1 Week Unlimited Trial ($49 for 7 full days of unlimited classes), you'll get a confirmation with everything you need to know before you arrive.
Wear what feels comfortable. Grip socks are required on the machine. If you don't have a pair, we sell them at the studio.
Show up 20 minutes early for your first class. We'll do a quick walkthrough before anyone else arrives so you're not standing at a machine trying to figure out how springs work while everyone else is warming up. We've got you before it even starts.
Your First Class
Let's be real with you: your first Lagree class is going to be hard.
Not hard in a "this is going to hurt me" way. Hard in a "I didn't know my body could shake like this" way. The Megaformer uses spring-loaded resistance and slow, controlled movements that put your muscles under constant tension. There's no momentum.
You will feel muscles you didn't know existed.
That's not a bad thing. That's the point.
Your coach will cue you through every movement and let you know if you need to adjust your springs or your position. You are not expected to keep up with the person next to you on day one. You are expected to show up and try. That's it.
What the Week Actually Feels Like
Day 1: You finish class. You feel proud. Maybe a little shaky. Definitely sweaty.
Day 2: You wake up sore in places that genuinely surprise you. Your core. Your inner thighs. The backs of your arms. This is delayed onset muscle soreness and it means the work is working. Come back anyway.
Day 3 or 4: You get back on the machine. It's still hard but something feels slightly more familiar. You remember which spring settings you used. You stay in the movement a little longer before your legs start to shake.
By the end of the week: You understand why people are obsessed with this. The method clicks. You stop comparing yourself to the person next to you and start competing with yourself.
That's the week. That's the transformation that starts it.
What Makes Elite Core Different
We are not a franchise. We are not a drop-in class where no one knows your name.
Rachel built this studio from the ground up in Morrisville/ Cary because she wanted a place where women could come in exhausted and leave feeling strong. Our coaches know your name. Our front desk knows your order of operations. When you walk in depleted and walk out powerful, that's not an accident, that's what we designed this place to do.
We've been voted one of the best fitness studios in the Triangle five years running. Not because we're the flashiest. Because we show up for our members the same way we ask them to show up for themselves.
The One Thing We Want You to Know
You don't have to be fit to start. You don't have to be consistent yet. You don't have to know what a carriage is or how springs work or what "slow twitch muscle fibers" means.
You just have to walk in.
Everything else, the strength, the routine, the community, comes after that first step.
Your first week is $49. Unlimited classes. Every format. No commitment after.
We'll see you on the machine..
